Britain To Come Clean on Release of al-Megrahi . . . no, wait!

After the world wide embarrassment bestowed upon Scotland after the release of the only convicted Lockerbie murderer back to Libya, Britain decided to release all documents on the topic.

Until the Obama administration put a halt to it.    Wonder why?

The Scottish government told FOX News Tuesday that the U.S. government refuses to allow them to release details of any communication between Scotland and the U.S. over al-Megrahi’s release.

Somalis in Minnesota wanting to cooperate with the FBI stand warned by CAIR to stop cooperating:

At a protest outside the Brian Coyle Community Center in Minneapolis’ Cedar-Riverside neighborhood, Abdirizak Bihi, the uncle of Burhan Hassan, who relatives say was killed last week in Mogadishu by a terrorist group, accused the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Minnesota chapter of discouraging local Somalis from cooperating with the FBI.

“We don’t want anyone to come into our community and tell us to shut up,” Bihi said. “Law enforcement will not be able to do anything without information from the community.”

Jama Dhagad, a distant relative of Hassan, was among the protesters. “These people in the building, they’re not representing the Somali community in a good way,” he said.

Their demands were released in a grainy video, which apparently showed the president’s teleprompter, bound and blindfolded but  unharmed, while heavily armed masked men stood behind it, quoting from the Qur’an. The content of their demands is not being released.

But instead they picked the modern Gregorian date September 24, 2009. This day corresponds to no holiday in the Islamic calendar.  But on the Julian calendar it is September 11, 2009.

Obama Risks American's Safety to Satisfy His "Morals"

Limbaugh’s assessment of a “Messianic Complex” seems appropriate.   Releasing information on the CIA’s “enhanced interrogation” techniques exposed, perhaps inadvertently for Obama, the advantages of these techniques:

We understand that the use of enhanced techniques in the interrogations of KSM, Zubaydah, and others, by contrast, has yielded critical information . . . As Zubaydah himself explained with respect to enhanced techniques, “brothers who are captured and interrogated are permitted by Allah to provide information when they believe they have ‘reached the limit of their ability to withhold it’ in the face of psychological and physical hardships.”

And the strategies behind enhanced interrogation were also exposed (remember Bush’s protection of “methods and sources”?   Toss that out the window in Obama’s “morals”):

CTC frequently uses the information from one detainee, as well as other sources, to vet the information of another detainee.   Although lower-level detainees provide less information than the high value detainees, information from these detainees has, on many occasions, supplied the informaiton needed to probe the high value detainees further .

Here’s where Obama’s minions overlooked redacting this memo, cause it goes against Obama’s “we’re no safer” mantra, regarding the somewhat publicized “Second Wave” attacks:

Khan subsequently identified the associate (Zubair), who was then captured.   Zubair, in turn, provided information that led to the arrest of Hambali. . . The information acquired from these captures allowed CIA interrogators to pose more specific questions to KSM, which led the CIA to Hambali’s brother, al-Hadi.   Using information obtained from multiple sources, al-Hadi was captured, and he subsequently identified the Guraba cell [a 17 member cell charged with the execution of the "Second Wave" attacks on Los Angeles]. . . With the aid of this additional information, interrogations of Hambali confirmed much of what was learned from KSM.

Unraveling all this, in the end, would have been entirely impossible under Obama’s “morals.”

What are those “morals,” anyway?

Update:  You might want to peruse this posting at Crush Liberalism, from 2006, noting an article from James Tarantolo at Opinion Journal.   In James Tarantolo’s article, he points out statements made by GW Bush in a speech:

We knew that [Abu] Zubaydah had more information that could save innocent lives, but he stopped talking. As his questioning proceeded, it became clear that he had received training on how to resist interrogation. And so the CIA used an alternative set of procedures. These procedures were designed to be safe, to comply with our laws, our Constitution, and our treaty obligations. The Department of Justice reviewed the authorized methods extensively and determined them to be lawful. I cannot describe the specific methods used–I think you understand why–if I did, it would help the terrorists learn how to resist questioning, and to keep information from us that we need to prevent new attacks on our country. But I can say the procedures were tough, and they were safe, and lawful, and necessary.

Muslim Brotherhood's Inroads Into the Obama Administration

The Muslim Brotherhood legacy organizations have recently made tremendous strides in occupying positions of influence within the Obama administration, at the same time the FBI and other law enforcement officials have move to cut ties to the very same organization.

Left hand, meet right hand.   In case you’re wondering why this is a problem:

To be clear: these groups have a clearly enunciated and never renounced policy of toppling the government, hollowing out the institutional structures, and imposing the caliphate here, where Sharia law is the law of the land. As I have often said, if they want to openly join the political process and espouse this, they are welcome and they will be marginalized, even within the Muslim community.
